Dr. Liu’s research interests are centered around the convergence of deep learning, medical imaging, and data science to advance the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment monitoring of various diseases.

He joined the Faculty of HMS/MGH on 06/2021. Prior to this, he completed two postdoctoral fellowships in Neurology at BIDMC/HMS and Radiology at MGH/HMS. He obtained his PhD from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), with joint supervision at Dept. ECE of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). He got the B.Eng in Automation [Wang-Daheng Elite Class], B.A. in Communication, and Minor in Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
